Bee Keeping for Sustainable Development and Wildlife Protection In Tanzania

apiaries.org grew out of an incredible story of a man, Moses, from Tanzania. Moses saw that farmers living near Arusha National Park were suffering crop losses due to the incursion of elephants. Moses developed the beehive fence to solve this problem. Essentially the hives are placed in rows to further establish the boundaries of the park. Now Moses is growing his project to include supporting commercial beekeeping as a source of jobs and to improve agricultural yields across the East African countryside.
